Meeting Special Needs

Meeting the special needs of individuals with disabilities is important to the St. Charles Park Board. The Park District will not discriminate against any eligible participant on the basis of a disabling condition.

Along with other area park districts, the St. Charles Park District is a founding member of the Fox Valley Special Recreation Association (FVSRA), which provides year round recreational programs for individuals with disabilities by working with staff to mainstream participants into Park District sponsored recreation programs.

If you require special accommodations, such as a physical assistance, to participate in a program, please indicate your needs on the registration form completed at the time of registration or by notifying staff at 630-513-6200 at least two weeks in advance of a any start date to make appropriate accommodations.

Persons interested in attending a District meeting should notify staff at least 36 hours in advance of the meeting. If requested, a sign language interpreter can be provided for Park Board meetings or other important meetings. Minutes of Park Board meetings and other official documents can be available in an alternative format (audio tape or Braille) upon request. For more information, contact Candy Boulay at 630-513-4316.
