Babes In Ballet Dance
Beginners will participate in barre warm-ups and creative floor movements. Students will learn to appreciate a variety of dance music including classical, big band, jazz and more. The Park District reserves the right to place children in classes according to their ability and skill level in addition to the age guidelines. This program is very popular and most classes fill up quickly. If the class you desire is not available, please indicate a second choice or ask to be placed on a waiting list. Openings can occur or a new class could be added.

Ages 3-4 : Pre-K for all levels
Ages 4-5 : Pre-K, preferably with experience
Age 5 : Kindergarten only for all levels
Ages 5-6 : Kindergarten with one year's experience or beginning 1st graders
Age 6 : 1st grade only with one year's experience

Attire Requirments: Black leotards, pink tights and pink leather ballet shoes.

Costume fees are included in the program registration fee.

Dancers will meet during the first week of November on their scheduled class day and time for recital costume measurements at Baker Community Center. Parents are asked to be present for measuring day. Costume fees are non-refundable after November 1.

Early Registration will be processed in the following order:
1. Residents enrolled in the 2011 Fall “Babes in Ballet” session - Nov. 3-8
2. Residents not enrolled in the 2011 Fall “Babes in Ballet” session - Nov. 9
3. Non-Residents enrolled in the 2011 Fall “Babes in Ballet” session - Nov. 16-17
4. Non-Residents not enrolled in the 2011 Fall “Babes in Ballet” session - Nov. 18

NOTE: Please submit your registration form within applicable registration dates
to give you the best opportunity for placement.

Participants are urged to indicate a 2nd choice on the registration form.

Registration forms may be submitted early, but will be held and randomly processed on the applicable registration dates listed above.

Babes In Ballet classes meet at Pottawatomie Community Center, 8 North Avenue.

Classes will be held at the Baker Community Center, 101 S. Second Street, on the following dates: April 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 and May 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11.
