Concerts in the Park

Event Description
Enjoy free concerts at Lincoln Park gazebo! Concerts are held on Thursdays at 7 p.m. in the months of June, July & August. Entertainment includes a variety of music from talented artists: Oldies, Carribean Rock, Rock-n-Roll, Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Concert Music, Country Western, and much more. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy delicious snacks, sandwiches, pizza, ice cream and more from various food vendors. In the event of rain, concerts will be moved to the center court of the Charlestowne Mall. Musicians are subject to change without notice.

4th of July Celebration

Event Description
Pottawatomie Park, which opens at 8 a.m., offers entertainment for the whole family…have a picnic, cook out, listen to a variety of live music (evening hours), go swimming, play mini-golf, and much more. Picnic tables will be offered on a first-come, first- serve basis. It is strongly suggested that patrons bring their own tables and chairs. Spectators may also purchase food throughout the evening at River View Miniature Golf Course. Food sales end at 9:15 p.m. sharp. The fireworks, which are held at dark on the 4th of July, can be best viewed at Pottawatomie Park or Ferson Creek Park.

Easter Egg Hunt

Event Description
This FREE event is for Park District residents, ages: 2 & under with parent, 3-4, 5-6, & 7-9. Participants are asked to bring their own baskets to collect the eggs. Children start lining up at 9:45 a.m. along the entrance to River View Miniature Golf Course. When the whistle blows, children scamper up the side of the huge hill in Pottawatomie Park to gather some of the 12,500+ plastic eggs filled with candy or prizes. Limit 10 eggs per participant.

Event Description
Families and friends are invited to Pottawatomie Pool for a "Splish Splash Bash"! Enjoy an extra 1/2 hour of fantastic fun on Tuesday nights in July. Kids of all ages will enjoy a variety of theme-appropriate games. Prizes will be awarded to the winners in each age category. FREE popcorn for all guests, too!

Theatre in the Park, offers live outdoor performing arts entertainment for the whole family. Enjoy a Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon performance of a professional theatre production. Those wishing to fully enjoy the summer outdoor theatre experience are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs, as well as a picnic supper. Spectators may also enjoy delicious snacks, sandwiches and more from various food vendors.

Christmas Gala

Event Description
Enjoy a delicious dinner followed by a professional music group. There will also be time to join in singing some of your favorite Christmas songs. You will find it may pay off to participate in the raffle, as Christmas comes early with numerous prizes. Start the first half hour with non-alcoholic punch. Cash bar will also be available.
